Our next outing into Fourze brings us Elek States, the form granted to Fourze after switching on the 10th Switch, Elek. The figure unfortunately sports some shoddy QC bits, but your milage may very, as some of them are popping up with perfectly fine joints. The culprit on my figure is the legs, which are incredibly floppy. Fortunately it’s a simple ball and socket joint, so fixing it isn’t a huge problem. Outside of that, the only real problem I have is the head visor being a little bit too clouded. They did the scoring properly, but it ends up looking really cloudy on the toy, and not as glossy as the show suit. The figure itself is painted up in a nice, dark, brilliant gold paint, accented by the matte white of Fourze’s other limbs. It comes packed with five alternate hands, Billy the Rod, the Scissors Module, the Beat Module, a “Limit Break” plug for Billy the Rod, and six Fourze Driver slots (Elek Off, Empty O Slot, Beat On, Beat Off, Scissors On, and Scissors Off). If you’re a huge fan of Elek States, it’s absolutely a great pick up. If you’re not a huge fan of the form, your money is better spent on Base States, or whatever State is your favorite. Despite the leg problems, I still really like the figure, but it doesn’t have the same “Wow” factor Base States did.

PokePla Kits 09, 10, and 11 bring us the Legendario Trio of Johto, Suicune, Raikou, and Entei. Each kit is sold individually for ¥760 a piece, and is available on retailers like HLJ, AmiAmi, and eBay for nice, reasonable prices. The kits are made for children, and aren’t very difficult to build, so as long as you can foliow the picture-by-picture instructions, you’re good to go. Being stand alone kits, the sticker totals on these are slim. Suicune’s feature a head bob and leg moving gimmick, as does Raikou to emulate running. Entei has a mouth opening/roaring gimmick. Suicune and Raikou’s sticker count both consists of eyes and their body designs. Entei’s cuff stickers can be a pain, but end up looking pretty decent for being stickers. Overall, if you’re a fan of these Pokémon, then the sets are definitely worth it. Being standalone sets, the plastic colors are varied, accurate, and the builds are overall pleasing compared to the Evolution Sets. For the price, you can’t really beat it. If you like building models, or are new to the model building scene, these kits are for you. Definitely recommended.
